Lesley Gibb was born on 12 January in Manchester, Lancashire, England. She is the only daughter and eldest child of drummer Hugh Leslie Gibb and his wife Barbara (née Pass) who was a dance band vocalist.[1]

In Lesley married Keith Evans, an Australian salesman who was also once her brother Barry's assistant and they had eight children.

They live in the Blue Mountains National Park in Australia, where Lesley ran a dog boarding kennel. Lesley also had a daughter, Bernice Barbara (Beri), who was born in and raised by her parents.
