Siv Ngesi was born on October 18, , in Gugulethu, Western Cape, South Africa.
Born into a Xhosa family of four children, Ngesi spent his early childhood in Gugulethu before moving to Langa and later Pinelands. His mother, Jacqueline, is a school principal. Ngesi lost his father in a car accident in He attended Pinelands High School and trained at the Waterfront Theatre School and Jazzart Dance Theatre.
